BoardGame
In this project we researched an environmental disaster and identified the key chemical pollutants involved. we also studied and reflected on how toxic spills impact individuals & communities. For our board game and we needed it to be educational, and fun to play of course. So out of four of our group we needed to pick one environmental disaster between us we thought was going to be turned into our board game. We picked the Gulf Of Mexico since it was simple, through development our first draft has improved as we got feedback from other students. I've made board games so I knew ideas that though made the game fun! So I've imported a good amount of idea's plus the cards.
Infographic
I developed the Infographic from scratch. The infographic really was time consuming and especially I had 3 drafts until It was perfect. I've never made an Infographic so I had to rely on notes from Sierra, and look for information online. I was determined to be able to put as much information as I could onto my groups Infographic. The only skills I really used was gathering information, and what made sense really so the reader can understand.
Pecha Kucha
|
This Pecha Kucha was Done by Sierra Rose, developing a Pecha Kucha takes a lot of time to research and to know all the information like the back of your hand. Although a Pecha Kucha lasts one minute you have to have reliable information and what environmental spill catches your eye, and interests. Skills I used for my Pecha Kucha was picking a simple disaster, but have a really large effect, so I choose an EPA spill in Colorado. I gathered information that was important into showing the effects of the spill. |
Reflection
What I've learn from this project was not every business man gets away with polluting our world. I also learned so much from the Gulf Of Mexico, and the disaster it has on the environment, especially to creating board games, and how much fun it is to be in a group. Well i'm not exactly sure what skills I've obtained, maybe i've already had them. Well I would have HIGH expectations for future projects and i'll probably use some of my skills that were used into making this project.
