One of the most satisfying aspects of work is solving challenging problems, especially problems no one else has figured out yet even if they seem small. Think of a time during your externship when you suddenly realized that you understood something or came up with a solution to a problem you've been struggling with. Create a short video of this "aha!" moment by reenacting the situation or just describing the situation to the camera (with props if possible). Be expressive. Help us feel your frustration with the problem and your excitement at coming up with a solution. Post your vlog to youtube and include the link or embed the video into your blog. (Don't forget . . . no V V S!)
Since I've gone to HTHI when doing readings I dive deep into what the author is trying to say. I explore his or her thoughts, ideas, and beliefs. Then I write about that specific sentence or paragraph on my thoughts, Ideas, and beliefs. Another skill is to stay concentrated for long periods of time. When studying for a math test or preparing for a debate I need to remember the important details. When I read a new case out of the dozen cases C.I.P I take notes about key points. Points that are important to proving the inmate guilty or not guilty. Externship hasn't been as different from projects at HTHi like the 2017 elections. My group looked into articles, and recent events on Jill Stein. We made a video showing her points and views to viewers to decide themselves if they want to vote for her.

Interview with Jeremy Stock part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su3Q7fObatI&feature=youtu.be So far I've been checking the mail from the inmates who sent them. These inmates send mail from all over California. I've looked at a few cases and I'm really surprised by the stories they tell. From murders, sexual assault, drugs, Etc. and it's our jobs to look at their cases and find if their actually innocent. Inmates send requests to look into their cases, questionaire, appeal from court, and A.O.B. We have 3 rules used to define if their case is approachable. First if It's the crime, or inmate is in California. Second if their currently in prison or incarcerated. Third if they claim full innocence of the crime their currently serving time for. I'm nervous about answering calls from strangers. Why? Because I'm suppose to know all the answers, and patiently listen to the people who ramble on. I've talked to my mentor about my project for Idea's and so far I have one. I'm thinking about making a flash animation. This is to help the new interns who come to the California Innocence Project, to tell them about the work Jeremy does here.
Description of ExternshipMy Externship is in downtown and the organization is called Californian Innocence Project. The innocence project receives mail from hundreds of inmates all over california, and we look into cases where they ask for help. At least 5 to 10% of inmates all around the world who are innocent, because of a crime they did not commit, they are held behind bars. So it´s the innocence Project´s job to find these people and help them on their release. My mentor is Jeremy Stock and he´s a district attorney, he´s going to show me and teaching me how this organization is run. ReflectionI´m excited to learn everything there is to being a lawyer. I chose an externship that was completely unrelated to any hobbies or gifts, because I´m searching for something that I can do in a career. I´m glad I have a mentor who´s excited to teach me and the 5 other interns. I´m only worried about transportation and failing to help an inmate.
