So far I've been checking the mail from the inmates who sent them. These inmates send mail from all over California. I've looked at a few cases and I'm really surprised by the stories they tell. From murders, sexual assault, drugs, Etc. and it's our jobs to look at their cases and find if their actually innocent. Inmates send requests to look into their cases, questionaire, appeal from court, and A.O.B. We have 3 rules used to define if their case is approachable. First if It's the crime, or inmate is in California. Second if their currently in prison or incarcerated. Third if they claim full innocence of the crime their currently serving time for. I'm nervous about answering calls from strangers. Why? Because I'm suppose to know all the answers, and patiently listen to the people who ramble on. I've talked to my mentor about my project for Idea's and so far I have one. I'm thinking about making a flash animation. This is to help the new interns who come to the California Innocence Project, to tell them about the work Jeremy does here.
